Calligraphy

I started doing calligraphy at the age of 15 and I've realised what a beautiful skill that is. Now it is time that I transfer my knowledge to anyone who wants to know more about the history of calligraphy and the techniques used and hopefully upgrade it and invent new ways of beautiful lettering!

History

From the Roman Empire to today, ways of writing and communicating have evolved and changed profoundly. Even though we will never know exactly how any why some scripts evolved, I am here to teach you what we do know and we can leave the rest to imagination! :)

Styles

Even though there are many different styles being invented by calligraphers nowadays, it all allegedly started with Phoenicians. Now there are a few styles that are were more influential than others:

Roman Capitals

Uncial

The Carolingian Minuscule

Gothic
